Fu Films served as the offline editor for a documentary series following the Yomiuri Giants’ 2019 season. This episode shifted the focus away from the game itself, exploring what unfolds behind the scenes on match days and highlighting the challenges, decisions, and dedication of the individuals who support the team off the field, including fan club members, cheerleaders, and beer vendors.
While the main series centred on the athletes’ on-field performances, this episode was initially considered the most conceptually challenging during development. Through a careful editorial approach that emphasised emotional stakes and personal commitment, the final cut was ultimately regarded as one of the most compelling and fully realised episodes in the series.
